Innovation and entrepreneurship courses

  • IEB: Innovation & Entrepreneurship Basics (5 ECTS)
Get ready to innovate. In this course you will be provided with the basics of entrepreneurship and innovation management. The course focuses on the in-depth understanding of the concepts and vocabulary in the areas of innovation processes, strategy and technology-based entrepreneurship, marketing and markets, organization and project management, new product and process development, entrepreneurial finance and human resource development.


  • BDL1: Business Development Lab 1 (5 ECTS)
Let’s get down to work! It’s time to put your knowledge into practice.  This course is a weekly supervised workshop on new innovative business creation. Here, you will have to work in teams in the development of an ICT business project throughout the main phases of a new venture. This lab covers business ethics, business model canvas, intellectual assets management and, of course, pitching.

Innovation and entrepreneurship courses

  • KNI: Knowledge and intangible assets management (5 ECTS)
Value can be created in multiple forms! In this module, you will be provided with a deeper understanding of intangible assets and social concepts to valuate business in the frame of knowledge economy. After completing this module, you will be able to: apply analytical social, economic and business research concepts to assess business opportunities; identify appropriate strategies for risk reduction; leverage the valuation process as a collective and distributed practice; and assess relevant information from journalistic articles, scientific papers and corporate documentation, among others.
  • BDL2: Business Development Lab 2 (5 ECTS)
Ready to attract investors? In this module you will have to demonstrate your innovation skills. Based on your entrepreneurial knowledge and considering the feedback you were provided with along the courses, you will have to develop your project throughout the main phases of a venture and present your business plan to possible investors and costumers.


  • Summer School (4 ECTS)
Enjoy summertime by immersing in real business cases. Our Summer School will allow you to interact with important stakeholders of the innovation ecosystem, such as entrepreneurs, company owners and customers, and face real business case studies originating from EIT Digital’s accelerators, start-ups and network of industrial partners. During this great and unique experience, you will have the opportunity to show your skills and develop an innovation solution for a major industrial challenge in the key areas of Digital Industry, Digital cities, Digital wellbeing, Digital infrastructure, and Digital Finance.
